AI Conductor builds open-source tools for artists and engineers who need AI to be controllable, reproducible, and pipeline-ready.

Why This Exists

AI image generation is powerful but chaotic. Same prompt, different results. No version control. No pipeline integration. Production environments need better.

These tools exist because I needed them. After 16 years in VFX—lighting for Apple, Disney, Warner Bros.—I started building the infrastructure that makes AI actually work in production.

Who

Joseph Ibrahim

VFX Technical Director turned AI toolmaker. 16 years in feature film and commercial VFX. Lighting and pipeline work at studios including MPC, The Mill, and Framestore. Now focused on deterministic AI systems and USD integration.

Philosophy

AI should be a tool, not a slot machine.

And you should be the one conducting it.

You can't conduct an orchestra if every performance is random. First you need control—instruments that respond precisely to your direction. That's what these tools provide: the ability to conduct AI, not just use it.

The name works both ways. Like an orchestra conductor, you direct and AI executes. Like an electrical conductor, we transmit your creative signal cleanly—no noise, no resistance, no loss.

Deterministic outputs. Pipeline integration with USD, Houdini, and Nuke. Open source under MIT license. These are the foundations—but the vision is larger: multi-system orchestration where you conduct entire AI ensembles with the same precision.

The Cognitive Substrate

Under the hood, these tools are powered by a USD-based cognitive substrate. Pixar invented USD composition semantics to resolve conflicting opinions in complex 3D pipelines. We apply the same principles to AI state management—same signals, same routing, same behavior.

LIVRPS Composition Model

USD (Universal Scene Description) resolves conflicts via fixed priority order. We apply the same semantics to cognitive state management.

Higher levels override lower levels. Local session state always wins over base profile traits.

The Principle

"Same signals → Same routing → Same behavior"
